Genia always thinks positive. Who knows why?
She does.
“One day, I went to school in Winter with a cozy sweater, a hat, and mittens. The teachers were checking to see if we had those supplies, in the condition if we could go out to recess,” Genia says “I thought I would be able to.” Apparently she was wrong. “I walked past her, throwing my scarf around my neck. ‘Hold on, Genia. I think you need a bigger and warmer coat to go out there. It is pretty cold,’ the teacher said. I giggled. “My coat is warm! If only we all could have one. We sure’d be toasty,’ I said. ‘No. You are staying inside.’ the teacher exclaimed. ‘But!’ I cried. ‘No,’ the teacher said again. ‘Well sorry, Genia.’ said my friend. ‘Next time wear a big jacket over it! That’d make you warm and really able to go outside.’ another said. They laughed as they walked outside. Out the door, I heard them say, ‘Finally! We got rid of her!’ I was so FURIOUS! I felt so stupid. My other friend came up, ‘What’s wrong?’ she asked. ‘My best friends ditched me.’ I replied. ‘Thats mean.’ We talked the rest of the recess inside. The bright side was that then I knew they weren’t good friends and that I could make new friends.
